Schedule: Predominantly day shift but may vary subject to customers’ demands and requirements
Pay Rate: 
Entry: $28.00/hr to $30.00/hr 
FSE 1: $30.00/hr to $31.50/hr 
FSE 2: $31.50/hr to $33.00/hr 
FSE 3: $33.00/hr to $35.00/hr 
Location: Richardson, TX
Travel: 80% - domestic or occasional international travel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment 
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems 
  • Maintain records and reports as required 
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions 
  • Orders and installs parts 
  • Responds to emergency service calls as required 
  • Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance 
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed 
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials 
  • Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both WGNSTAR and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s) 
Requirements:
  • 2 years of previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment for all other levels. 
  • Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools. 
  • Electrical experience required.
  • Experience reading schematics.
  • Understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures is required. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking ability. 
  • High levels of professionalism and customer interface skills. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license. 
  • MS Office/Excellent communication skills. 
  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Preferences:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred (Military service in relevant Technical Role will be considered in lieu of formal education)
