WGNSTAR is hiring software technicians who will be part of the site project management team and will support the development, testing, and maintenance of software systems that interact with semiconductor devices and manufacturing equipment.
Schedule: Day Shift M-F 8 am - 5 pm
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr. DOE
Location: De Soto, KS

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow all corporate safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
- Develop and maintain software tools/equipment used in semiconductor testing and production.
- Write scripts or applications for data collection, analysis, and automation.
- Assist on-the-job training to the internal technician in routine operation, installation, and troubleshooting of assigned products.
- Effectively troubleshoot issues for both hardware and software.
- Interface software with semiconductor manufacturing equipment (e.g., testers, handlers, wafer probers). Ensure smooth communication between hardware and software systems.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, or failures. Generate reports for engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Professionally interact with multi-national and multi-language teams.
- Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork and accurate status reports with supervision. Maintain technical documentation for software tools, procedures, and test setups.
- Input data to QA / QC check sheet, report creation, and submission to Installation Site Manager.
- Attend daily field start-up meetings. Work with minimum supervision, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (AS) in Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry or Military Certification is preferred.
- 1 -2 years of knowledge or proficiency in IT, automation, robotics, or computer systems.
- Familiarity with semiconductor testing platforms and protocols. Understanding of electronics and semiconductor device fundamentals.
- Experience with data analysis tools and version control systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints/layouts, and diagnose/troubleshoot electromechanical devices.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve practical problems.
- Must have basic PC skills, including MS Office, Excel, Windows, etc.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment:
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently works near live equipment moving parts, requiring situation awareness at all times.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, may work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
