Water Treatment Technician - Industrial
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5x10's
Pay Rate: $65.00-$84.00/hr.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain process water treatment systems, including filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), deionization, chemical dosing, and cooling water systems.
- Monitor and record water quality parameters (pH, conductivity, turbidity, hardness, chlorine, etc.) to ensure compliance with process and environmental standards.
- Perform routine inspections, sampling, and laboratory testing of water systems.
- Adjust chemical feed systems and control equipment to maintain target water chemistry.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, sensors, filters, and piping associated with process water systems.
- Maintain accurate logs, trend charts, and documentation of water treatment operations.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for water and utility systems.
- Assist in the operation and monitoring of wastewater and condensate recovery systems, as needed.
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures, including handling and storage of treatment chemicals.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or technical training in Water Treatment, Environmental Science, Industrial Maintenance, or Chemistry preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial water treatment, utilities, or process operations.
- Experience with boiler feedwater, cooling towers, and reverse osmosis systems preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment.
- Knowledge of water chemistry, filtration, and disinfection processes.
- State or local Water Treatment or Wastewater Operator certification.
- OSHA 10/30 or HAZWOPER certification a plus.
Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds.
